Fighting for your continued protection- Because you still matter!

OUR MISSION

As activists, we are on a mission to reform victims rights by analyzing and reshaping current laws, while also fighting for new laws to better protect, help and empower victims & survivors of sexual & domestic abuse, Because You Still Matter.

About Us

The Because You Still Matter Organization is a 501c4 Non Profit, legal reform based organization. Through a recent experience, our founder and president Kayleigh Kozak learned how broken and outdated the legal system is in regard to victims’ rights. Not only is our organization analyzing current laws that are in place and fighting to expand them, we are focused on creating new laws that enhance the efficiency and justice for victims’ rights.

The Because You Still Matter Organization is specifically focused on "Kayleigh’s Law", which provides victims and survivors of sexual and domestic abuse indefinite protection from their abuser. A victims direct protection should not end if and when their abusers probation ends.

Although our organization started in Arizona, we are passionate about reform policy in all 50 states. Victims and survivors of sexual and domestic abuse deserve the ultimate justice and protection, Because You Still Matter.
